Staff Analysis of the Legislation

Amend Title 40. This bill provides penalties for making a false statement or aiding or abetting another to do so when registering a vehicle by a fine not to exceed $5,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than five years or both.   Provides penalties for making a false statement or aiding or abetting another to do so on a driver�s license application which will be a felony punishable by a fine not to exceed $5,000.00 or by imprisonment for not less than five years or both.
